Our house in Tuscany is located in the enchanting Pieve a Socana, a small village of Etruscan origin situated just a few kilometres from the art city of Arezzo and in the centre of the Casentino Forest National Park, an ideal starting point for walks and excursions.
Whether it's an excursion to Lake Trasimeno (journey time about 1 hour) or a relaxing walk in the mountains to the Sanctuary of La Verna, there is something for everyone. Cycling along the banks of the River Arno, almost to its source, is a unique experience. The path leads through the medieval villages of Bibbiena and Poppi, unique places in the world. If you want a more challenging route, you can cycle to the Consuma Pass, famous for its mushroom flatbread, or the Mandrioli Pass, the gateway to Romagna.
